Joomla – Front Page number of articles
With the release of our products HashDigester and DigesterCheck we had to modify our corporate web site. We like to show the products in our home page and we tried it, but when we inserted the information related to DigesterCheck product it didn’t show up. After looking for Joomla Front Page parameters we found where to make the modification. This post shows how to do it cause is not as easy as we thought …

As we tried to show the information related to DigesterCheck product in our Joomla Front Page web site everything looked fine. It was published for everybody, it was published in the Front Page, everything was done, but the information was not in the Front Page.
We looked at all places, Global Configuration, Plugin Manager, Module Manager, but nothing was found related to the Front Page. After searching through Internet we found that it had something with “Menus”, and we got it at last !!!.
To change the number of articles in the Front Page you must go to “Menu“, and select the menu with an asterisk at the end (in our case “DiceLock Security”), or open in “Menu“, “Menu Manager” and look for the menu of type “mainmenu” like in:
and then select the proper “mainmenu” from “Menu” option.
Once the menu has been selected, you can see something like:
where you can see the menu “DiceLock Security” as default (the yellow star) with the type “Articles » Front Page“.
Editing the menu we found the following screenshot:
and there you get Front Page parameters at the right of the page.
The point was that we had in “Parameters (Basic)” the option “Intro” with the value “3” (that was the reason cause DigesterCheck didn’t show up).
We changed the value “3” to “10” and now everything is fine …
